engine braking?

Do these cars have an engine braking feature, I recently upgraded to the LMS 4 plus X tune and notice on throttle lift that the car decelerates quick or if I'm going down a hill for example and let off the gas the car will not pick up in speed it will hold its speed no matter how steep the hill and on a flat surface upon letting off the gas the car will slow itself down fairly quick on its on without me hitting the brakes, no brakes are sticking I checked and no dtcs

If you are lifting off the throttle completely, the fuel injectors may be cutting off (fuel economy reasons). Pretty common strategy these days.

I had no idea I have a 97 SHO that I drive as my daily driver and I loaded the tune on my 2011 then hadn't driven it for a while I wonder if the tune makes this sensation feel stronger or I just got used to my 97 and didn't realize that my '11 did that

lol i had a mercury sable 1998 before i had this been quite a upgrade. It was really strange getting use to all the weird features like this.

the car is in D justg seems like itll hold itself back when i let off the gas at 30 or 25 for a good 5 seconds then downshift and glide normally
