Hello, bought a wrecked 2013 Taurus SHO a month ago and just got to where I got it back on the road the past couple of days and have been test driving it. After driving it around for 10 miles, I got on it a little bit and it made a loud bang sound and I thought I blew a tire. I got out, noticed all the tires were fine, popped the hood, and noticed it blew off what ford calls the engine air duct. I am new to the SHO and did a search and could not find anything on this but every time I get on it, it blows this piece off right where it clips into the intercooler system. As far as I know the car is stock. I don't know if this is common or if it has a tune on it that is causing it to over boost and blow that piece off? Other than that, the car runs awesome.

Turbo hoses/hit pipes can crack and/or come loose. Either need a new hose/clamp, or replace with a set of hard hotpipes to prevent recurrence.

That's the noisemaker. Take it off and cap it with a 1 1/2 inch cap and hose clamp.
