Has any removed the "Taurus" and "SHO" emblems on the back? How did you get them off?

I want to remove them so I can tint them pretty dark and put them back on.

I have not done this yet but
The way most people take emblems off is a heat gun then use turtle waxs sticker remover works really good for removing the residue.

I'd probably place tape before you remove the emblem so you keep it strait unless you want to change the placement

Dental floss or fishing line works very well. Then just carefully remove the remaining adhesive on the paint.

Mine are gone and I kept them off. I think it just looks good that way. But I would say a little heat and a thin plastic wedge or wire. If you want them back in the same spot make sure you mark what you do.

I "de-badged," my trunk with the SHO and Taurus emblems - so ugly!!! I used a hair dryer to get the emblem (the glue) nice and warm, then dental floss moving back & forth gently. Once removed there's glue still on the paint - just use some wax or believe it or not you can use cooking oil, it really breaks up the glue, then wax & polish!

3m adhesive remover or some type of Goo Gone. Make sure it is approved for painted surfaces! Fishing line works great for the initial removal. I did mine without a heat gun.

I know it's a little off topic, but where did you get the tint for your tail lights, I've been looking for cut out ones, but haven't found any yet.

I used Lamin-X film and then cut out the reverse, signal, and clear areas! I love it, looks OEM and not like a cheap plastic tinted cover.

I removed my Taurus and SHO emblems using dental floss and some goo gone. There are YouTube videos on removal of car emblems. You use goo gone to soften the adhesive and the dental floss in a back and forth sawing type motion to cut through the adhesive then I used the goo gone to soften the remaining adhesive and rub it off. The FORD logos are vinyl overlays from eBay specifically sized for the Taurus grille and trunk. C396169f3a1f5847b6002874e5b2a102

The fishing line/dental floss method seems to be popular and all over YouTube but I have been using trim removal tools for years. I use blue tape to help avoid scratching the paint. Leaves much less foam tape left over to remove.
