EGR Code woes

Hey all
Recently got a code 332. Searched the forums and was told to clean the "nostrils". Took the TB off, and noticed they weren't that dirty, but cleaned them anyway with B-12 and a hanger. Put everything back, and now I get 332/335.
When i cleaned the nostrils i used a hanger with a rubber coating on it. Well after picking in the intake the b-12 ate at the coating and left it in there (not much) Any harm done?
I cant seem to get rid of this code/ CEL

Sounds like you may be due for a new DPFE sensor. It's located on the back of the intake manifold. About $60 at most parts chains.

Keep in mind that the nostrils combine into a single passage encased in the bottom of the rear part of the "Y", heading towards the EGR valve. There are two hex head plugs that you can take out to get access to the entire nasal passage, not just the nostrils. One is on the bottom of the throttle body and one is below the EGR. Both are hard to get out. My 95 ATX was caked solid, so I used a flexible piece of wire coathanger on a cordless drill to ream it out. That finally solved my 332 code.

Thanks for the tips! I ordered a new DPFE, and will do a thorough cleaning. Do you think there was any harm done from the remnants of the hanger in the intake?

If the passages in the intake are not plugged, another possibility is the detachment of the pipe from the exhaust pipe to the EGR valve. I have found the weld broken at the exhaust pipe ****** before on an ATX (Adam V) long ago. Also make sure the rubber connections to the DPFE are connected and not plugged.

I also got a 332 code. I replaced the DPFE. it looked slightly different. the hose connections were in a slightly different place. I ran car for about 3 weeks and now got 332 again. the intake was cleaned about 20,000 ago. I just check the nostrils, all clean. coat hanger went right thru. I'm thinking I got a defective DPFE. looks like I have to buy another one. what store should I go to and what brand should I get? I forgot the brand I bought. is there a way to test the DPFE without a volt meter?

just looked at DPFE closer, it feels like the electrical connection does not snap into DPFE. also, I just applied vacuum to the EGR with my hand vacuum pump and engine just about stalled out.
