Ok- I am new to the SHO. But my Father has a 1996 Sho and the Check eng soon light is on- I spend about 2 hrs looking for the eec test connection..Can anyone PLEASE tell me where they put it?? I have a tester I use on my 90 Thunderbird SC and 91 and 94 Thunderbirds..

The '96+ vehicles use a different type of on-board diagnostics called OBD-II. The codes can't be read in the same way as the EEC-IV (sometimes called OBD-I). Your best bet is to take the car some place like AutoZone which will read the codes for free. The OBD-II connector is usually located under the dash to the right of the brake pedal.
