dumb question re: front strut mounts

I can't for the life of me remember...is there a bearing seat that goes between the spring and the top mount?

Yes, if you get a new one be sure it includes the bearing. Ordering from Ford you have to order the bearing too. I used some Moog ones and it was a complete strut mount with bearing.

mine came with the top part of the mount and the bearing. Guess I gotta rip the old ones off for whatever it is the bearing rides on.

It sits in a rubber cup that fits on top of the spring.
