Driver Seat

Hey all,
I'm thinking about getting a new (to me) driver's seat. Mine on my 92 is getting pretty crappy, electrical and leather wise. Do you all have any advice?

Im in the same place as you. Im looking for new seats, thinking about taking them out of a gen 3 or jsut getting racing seats. You also have the option of releathering for roughly 300 a seat.

Trying to find these seats is no easy task.

They show up on ebay pretty regularly. I think there's a set of grey front seats available there now.

Some are easier to find than others and all 3 gen's fit one another. It would be easier to offer tips if it was known what year, color and material (full leather or 50/50) was required or preferred.

I saw a front set of full leather Mocha on ebay today and they were in great shape.

shipping is probably going to be $50 per seat.

You can use seats from a thunderbird SC if you re-drill the mounting holes on the seat. 89-93 equal Gen I, 94-95 equal Gen II.

hey all you with your seat woe's im just like u except my seats are still in great working conditon just leather on driver seat is far gone. go to www.shoclub.com and go to the classifieds parts section look for totalled out SHO's and parts car and buy seats out of them. i seen 2 front seats going for $300 thats only $150 a seat so try there first and put up a wanted ad for seats your bound to find something.
