ammonia loosens the bond of the glue and softens the film up; get some ammoniated windex and a razorblade and it should be pretty easy. Best stuff I found was dollar store window cleaner. that stuff has SO MUCH AMMONIA in it.

I have been able to get the glue off of my door and side windows, but what is the best way to get it off of the back window? Wal Mart carries some stuff to remove the tint off of your windows and I have been thinking about using that. I have tried using the razor blade on the back window, but it runs into the defroster lines and I don't want to mess them up. As far as the rest of the windows, it has been window cleaner and a razor blade.

The rear window is tricky. A plastic paint spudger works well as it generally leaves the defroster lines alone. Basically anything wooden or plastic works. Just be gentle... and use extra ammonia.

Park the car in the shade, spray a ton of window cleaner on the window, and then put some large garbage bags or plastic on the window. Wait a day or so, pull the plastic off, and your tint will come off easily. You may have some glue left on the window, repeat the window cleaner/plastic trick.

I did this on my 92 and it worked out great.
