So, when I got the car from Chris, he had mentioned intermitant door lock problems, and the day I picked it up, they stopped working. The alarm would not lock or unlock any of the doors, and the drivers side button didn't work either. The only thing that would work was that the passenger side switch would only unlock everything. Well, Friday night, I reach over to the passenger side switch to unlock everything, no dice. So, the only way I can unlock my passenger door is either with the key, or by opening it from inside, I feel like I'm driving some old car.

I think its something to do with the alarm, being that its old, and it wasn't activating the locks. I know the acuators are good because they all would unlock. I want to get a newer alarm anyways, but I would like to know if its the cause of my door lock problem.

What would be the best way to go about diagnosing this? I swapped out the switches with some spares that I had gotten from Chris, but still had the same problems, and I dont think two sets of switches are going to have the same problem. Where or what could I look at? :corn:

It's probably the keyless entry module in the trunk. It's mounted on the back of the back seat. It contains all the relays for the door locks. check the connections. Mine had water in it. Don't know how.
