Did some searching but no such luck so maybe somebody can help...

The front and rear driver side locks will not go up or down when you hit the unlock/lock button on the doors. The same thing happens when you hit the unlock button the passenger. You can hear the driver side trying to work but they don't do anything. I haven't had time to tear the door panel apart yet. I can however push them both down and they stay down or pull them up and they stay up. When you unlock the driver front door from the outside with the key it unlocks like normal.

Is there something that controls this besides the switch on the doors?

I'm kind of lost here...

I had the same problem with mine. The only button that worked was the passenger lock button, nothing else worked.

I found today that there was Ford Dealer remote lock installed (not the one from the factory, but it is a ford remote keyless)
On the drivers side front, take the panel off that's next to the hood release, then unscrew the kick plate. Pull the carpet back a bit, and you'll see a mess of wires that were covered by the carpet & panel.

I found that the "unlock" wire (red with yellow stripe) was rusted and came out of the wire connector. After stripping the wire and connecting it back, the locks work again.

Check that. I know I couldn't find the answer out there, so I just started tearing things apart until I found it.

Let me get this straight... Your driver side locks wouldn't go up or down no matter which door you hit the button on? Because it doesn't matter if I hit the driver or the passenger unlock button, the driver side locks wont move.

Totally misread what you wrote the first time. Disregard my previous posting. N/A for your problem. Sorry

Your door lock actuators either broke or the rivits that attach them to the door did.

Old post, but I finally got time today to tear the door panel apart and the rivet that holds the actuator down is broken. Any fixes for this?

Ended up drilling out the broken rivet on the bracket that attaches to the actuator and replacing it with a bolt/serrated washer setup. Works good as new!
