I dare say this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, Ford usually have a decal somewhere in the trunk with the door code...anyone know where? I have looked on the trunk hinges and the surrounding area but cant find anything. Also is it possible to reprogram a keyless remote fob from another ford vehicle that I still have to this car?
thanks.

I found mine in a couple of places. One of them is in the trunk. If you have the owners manual it's in there too.

Yes but WHERE in the trunk? My looking so far has produced nothing obvious. I was wondering if there is a common 'secret' nook where they stick them? I do have an owners manual but no joy in there.
Thank you.

Mine was placed on the hinge. I have seen them on the trunk itself too. It is possible the PO removed it.

There are several usual spots. Generally there should be one on either hinge, it's a white sticker with 5 digits. Other possible locations are driver doorjamb or other door jamb (check door and jamb sides), on the keyless module (in trunk), on the main ECU (underdash) and on some other models on the fusebox or inside the fusebox lid. If you can't find the KEM code sticker there is a how-to on figuring out the code from opening the KEM and looking at the solders.

Mine was on the side of the keyless module facing the left side rear tire well. I had to pull it out to read it.

mine is also on the trunk lid and on the RKE module

yes you can reprogram remotes to your car, they have to be the right ones, I got mine of ebay for like 12 bucks....

there is a connector you jumper with a paper clip in the trunk, and then you can program remotes to work for your car, it is fairly easy and takes only a minute

Oh this link. I read it and responded - at least I thought I did. No luck with the owners manual and it is nowhere in the trunk. Oh well I was hoping someone knew a dealer trick, apparently there isn't one. Oh well I guess $50 going to the local dealer.

Anyway you could possibly send me a picture? I'd really appreciate it.
