I don't know if my car has remote keyless entry b/c I bought it from a dealer and they didn't have the remote with them. They don't know if it has it either. I have that keyless entry on the door that u use the code to open the car. Does that mean I have remote keyless entry and I just need to buy the controls from ford?

You can get the remotes from various sources. I bought a pair on Ebay awhile back but you need to make sure you get the right ones. Programming instructions usually come with them or you can look through the archives, I remember someone posting a copy. Good luck! thumb

I recently bought a '95 MTX. It has the driver's door buttons. Does this mean it has RKE? What/where can I get remotes? I saw some for sale on ebay, but they are listed for use on '99-2003 Tauruses. Thanks.

No, not all 94's came with keyless entry. If you have a 93+ with the keypad on the door, then it has remote capability. I just went and looked at a striped 94 SHO and it didn't have any of the options, including the lack of keyless entry.
I know this guy that sells these controlers. I will ask him tonight if he has any left. there's a right model you need to buy it's the Type 3 one.

According to the '94 brochure, RKE was only available as part of the 'Luxury Convenience Group' which included JBL, moonroof, pwr driver & pass seats, and RKE. RKE is not listed as a separate option for the SHO in the options matrix.
I contacted the guy that sells the remotes, he said he doesn't have any left like mines (Lock, Unlock doors, trunk opened and the panic button) but he has 5 controls that will work with our cars the only roblem is that it doesn't have the trunk opener button. He's trying to get more of the control that has 4 buttons.

Be careful, someone in our club bought some remote off of Ebay, and they didn't work. You might want to go for the satifaction option when you buy.
