Ive been trying to shoot these for a while and today it was the perfect light and they showed in the pictures well. Can anyone confirm if they have seen this before. I'm not a body guys so I haven't a clue. I don't think its stress. It seems like something during assembly.

Either that or edit the pics in photobucket to point out the dimples you're referring to. Maybe I'm blind, but with the lack of sunlight and the raindrops I can't see what you're talking about.

Yes mine have the same ones, as I assume many other do to. It is not uncommon for things like this to happen during stamping process. But them are your fenders, 1/4 panels are on the back of the car.

1/4 panels infers that there are four of them, one on each corner. That's not the case? We have always referred to them are Front or Rear quarter panels.

If only the rears were quarter panels shouldn't they be called 1/2 panels instead of 1/4 panels?;)

I believe they are actually called rear quarter panels as it refers to the rear quarter (approximately) of the vehicle, not because there are four panels.

To the OP, thanks for editing the pics. I can actually see what you were talking about now. Without an indication of where I was supposed to be looking, it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Or a dimple in a bunch of raindrops. lol

Hmm, I've always been under the impression that only the rears were called quarter panels, because they basically covered about one quarter of the side of the body. I've always heard (and referred) to the front as fenders. Thus making it easy to understand exactly what area of the car you are referencing.

Also, I don't believe that my car has the dimples on the fenders, but I am going to go "Quick Detail" the car right now and will check again. But, my hood does have those same type of indents where it attaches to the hinges at the rear. (I know they're not hinges, but I'll be dipped if I can remember the correct term :banghd:)

Back for shining the car, and I do not have the dimples in the place that you do, but you can sure see them on the hood.

I guessing (and hoping) that you haven't had the hood work done yet, Mark.;)

Those dimples must be a post '10 mark......

Those springs on the deck: are they torsion springs?
That's all I can come up with; In this heat it's too hard to think.
