Did I Fry my PCM???

ok so i blew a cap of a rod on the lower end so i got a used motor with 45k on it i took my heads and everything off my old motor and swapped it onto the new motor got it all back together in the car and went to start it only to find no spark at the plugs and at the coil pack so i change out the coil pack still no spark i put the computer on the car and ran the codes a code 15 showed up anyone have any ideas what it could be that i dont have any spark im guessin somewhere along the line i fried my computer but i hope not well can someone give me some good advise thank you

Code 15 is ECA ROM test failure. Others here are more qualified than I am to help diagnose your problems.

By the way..what year is your car? May make a difference.

You will get the code 15 if there is an EPROM chip (LPM, Superchip, etc.) attached to the EEC. If no chip, bad news.

Have you checked the connections to the CPS, CID and coil pack? Pretty darn important.

Yes. Please put your car year and mods in a sig. for your posts. I helps to address certain problems. I see in your profile your '89 has an 80mm maf. Is that with a chip also?

OK so i checked all connections i do have a chip, does anyone know if that code 15 is gonna show up even if the car is runnin smooth or is that code 15 a bad sign i really not sure were to look i have checked the connections at the dis module at the coil pack and i made sure that the ground is hooked up on the back of the manifold also made sure that the small 16 gauge wire is hooked to the pos side of the battery( btw anyone know what that wire does i know without it there will be no spark) i made sure when puttining in the cps that it was correct i double checked it the camshaft pos senser i never took off i left it on the heads with the cams im really not sure where else to look any ideas on how to go about trouble shootin would be greatly appreciated thanks to all
