Great thread, I too am looking to buy a tuner. This discussion helped me decide on Livernois. Question, does the tuner help with the fan adjustment or it there something else I need to do for that?
Another question, does a '15 SHO have an intercooler? I have not seen this yet?
If you tell Livernois what stat you changed to they will give you the appropriate tune. Yes there is an intercooler.

The last non charge air cooled engine ford has had to my recollction is the 7.3L d.i. in its early iteration. Everything after either has a air to air or a water to air cooler.

Ford's smaller engine (1.5?l) has a w.a.c. in the intake so its not obvious. The 1.0L has a traditional air to air c.a.c.

I already ordered the LMS tuner along with 3 bar, 160 tstat and new plugs. I installed the plugs last night and just posted about it. Unlike you and many others on here I am not a qualified and certified gearhead. I just don't have the knowledge, experience or vocabulary that you guys have. Ease of use was a main consideration of why I choose LMS but not the only. The other reasons were prior customer satisfaction and customer support. Almost everyone using LMS were extremely satisfied with the results. I also called them to get some info and I spoke with Anthony at ext #103, and was impressed with his knowledge of the platform. You could immediately tell Livernois is dedicated and passionate about the ecoboost and I feel comfortable using them to whip my SHO into shape.
Thanks for your input.....Everyone!!
We appreciate all the kind words and were glad you were satisfied with our customer support and how much time and effort we put into our customers as well as the ecoboost vehicles!

Every turbo'd SHO will have an intercooler. This is not to be confused with transmission fluid cooler or engine oil cooler.

How many tunes do you get for $599 ? Currently stock 2017 with only 900 miles.
Looking at 3bar and T-stat on 93 Octane.
Do I need to pull plugs and re-gap with so few miles? I’m not mechanically inclined so I’d have to pay a friend to help.
Thanks all.

So my calibrator tuner came in today along with the 160 thermostat. I installed the tstat and 3 bar, the new plugs gaped @ .030 and started her up. It is running slightly rough at idle and slightly worse giving her a little gas. The info center is displaying a wrench on the right side of the display when I start her up. I need to look that up but my first thought is the plugs. Any suggestions?

Are you sure you replaced the correct 3 bar sensor? The one that you should have replaced is under the engine cover. There is another one closer to the radiator, you should not have touched that one. The other thing you want to verify is that your tune is actually a 3 bar tune.

Having the wrong sensor will cause the issue you describe.

I replaced the one under the cover. I didn't see the other one but I'll look. The car is still up in the air, all 4 brakes caliper are disconnected and the PTU plug is out.

Check the part number on it and compare it to the one you took out, verify they aren't the same. I've heard of people accidentally getting 2 bar sensors, although not from LMS directly. If they are different, you might want to put the original one back in and start it up to see if it does the same thing when you start it.

If it does, return your car to stock and get hold of LMS tomorrow morning.

I assume the tune is installed? It has to be installed at the same time as the 3 bar sensor. Sure the plugs are installed correctly? Did you disconnect any hoses during installation? If so, check that they are clamped and secure now. There will also be a learning curve for the PCM, so that may be contributing to the rough idle.

I believe the tuner can show you what codes are currently stored. You might want to pull them prior to taking any other action.

So when my tuner came in, I wont lie, I was happier than a puppy with two peters. After I installed the 3 bar and thermostat and started her up I was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Lucky for me I have the support of the members of this forum to help me through this. I do remember reading something about a break-in period for the computer to adjust to the changes. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope that's it. Are you supposed to just let it run for a period of time or is there something else that I have to do?
I have some time since my original intention was just to do a simple tune has turned into a much bigger job that includes:

1- PTU fluid change and probably adding a drain plug
2- Detailing under the hood and doing some visual mods
3- Complete front brake job. Upgrading to 2013+
4- Rebuilding rear brake calipers and changing shoes
5- Painting calipers red

I appreciate all the help fellas. I owe you all a cold one or two!

BTW..... It still inst tuned yet so that may have something to do with it.

I am new to this also and it looks as if your post got buried so I'll try to help. I just received mine and I believe you get 4 tunes. as far as the gap, I am not sure if it's necessary but thee way I understood it was that you will get better performance from it. I would recommend calling Livernois and asking all the questions you have, that is what I did and it helped me understand what I was about to do. Good Luck!

YES. The car will not run right and will throw codes with the wrong sensor. Also as mentioned make sure you change the one on top of the intake manifold under the cover, there is one by the throttle body(this is a 3bar stock and should be left alone)

I believe Livernois is up to 4 tunes. You shouldn't have to worry about plugs at that mileage, Livernois recommends the stock plugs/gap for 2013+ and at 900 miles they shouldn't have opened up, just keep in mind you should expect to change them sooner than if stock.
