Like many of you, I've had my dealings with Ford Motor Company and would just as soon avoid their prices. I've turned to the internet to obtain replacement parts for my 89.

I've worked on cars for too many years and have noticed that sometimes if the original part that came on the car still works then it is just as likely to continue working. Also, sometimes brand new parts fail.

A lot of stuff from the junk yard will work fine.

Try Dan Barbush at [email protected]. He was quite helpful and knowledgeable.

Thank you Dan

Wow!

I bought my rod shifter from Dan three years ago when I broke my cable shifter. He had the rod out promptly, shortly after he had a forgotten plate part out to me so I could finish the job properly. Good to see he's still living up to his name :thumb:

Ordered some complete 92' rear caliper assemblies with brackets bolts and everything from him. They should be here soon.

I just bought a nice white rear bumper, and SS Catted Y-pipe from him this weekend. And, to make it even better... After he helped me load the stuff into my truck ( IN A DOWNPOUR ) he invited me in for a nice cold beer.

I can not buy enough from this guy. Thanks again Dan. :hail:

nice guy, tons of parts, picked up a few things yesterday afternoon, if you need a part, odds are he's got it. he even tested out the reservoir for me to make sure it wasn't cracked, and let me tell you, when he says he likes cars/has a lot of parts, he isn't kidding. can'twait to see the SHOwagon finished.

I, too met Dan through the Internet. I purchased three items in two weeks. His service is outstanding; he ships when he says he'll ship; He knows his stuff. I recommend him to anyone needing a SHO part. Try him, just email him; he answers in less than a few hours.

I also have nothing but great things to say about Dan. VERY reasonable prices for parts that everyone else asks an arm and a leg for. His shipping is phenomenal, he shipped some parts to me one day and I had them the next. Now that's FAST.

Plus he's just an all around nice guy who is really trying to help the community out. I can't tell you how many times that I know of that he's sent parts out to people without receiving money in advance. There are not very many people in this community that will still do this. And he continues to do this even after he's been burned a few times. That, to me, speaks volumes in the level of trust he has for the people in this community. I think it's a shame that he's been burned even once.

Here's a BIG salute to Dan. Keep up the great work and thanks for having faith in our community! :salute: :hail:

what goes around....

Thanks Beth!
When I sat down to make a list of parts for which I've never been paid, I got a shock:
"M"ccrm, dual fan assembly, gen2 mirror, a pair of white slicers, '89 gray carpet, a steering rack, 2 gray gen2 front door panels, a white gen2 wing sent to California!, another "M" ccrm and and X2J sent to the same guy, and lastly, a pair of mocha plastic seat surrounds. I'm out these parts and what I paid for shipping. This is over I'd say a 5 year period.

But on the other hand, there are the 99% of people who pay exactly when they say they would and some have even included an extra 5 or 10 bucks. To boot, 2 people have given me SHOs for free including the black 89 that I drive everyday. So in a way, in my goofy mind, it all evens out.

I see and buy from Dan annually at Carlisle Ford. :salute:
I also refer friends and walk potential customers to his tent.
He's a good guy with good prices. :thumb:
Sorry I didn't buy as much this year Dan, and thank you for your door cladding retainer purchase from me.
Seems I'm getting my own massive supply of parts. :oogle:
And to think 5 years ago I only had one car and no spare parts.
Now I have an inventory of both new and used parts (and 5 Gen 1's). :dribble:
So much now that I had to build new shelves and reorganize my garage.

It was my fault with the seat surrounds...I forgot to mail your check out before vacation...Now Im back and I just recently mailed it to you!

Again, I've done busniess with lots of people on here. Dan being one of the best to deal with. Only thing that made it hard for me was not being able to paypal, Im so busy and paypal is so easy. Other than that, Hes awesome, and after reading all these commments....

I realized that he must have ALOT of sho parts at his house!
