Code 122 / Check Engine Light On and Off

Hey Guys I have a 92 MTX and During Operation My Check Engine light comes on It Stays On for 10 seconds then shuts off Then comes back on. I pulled The codes and the only one I have is The Code 122 is there anyone that could please help me out getting kinda frustrated with this.. Thank you very much

I cant say , do you have another TPS you can swap to test it out? , Maybe try to examine the wires plugged into the TPS for shorts or something.

This is not a common code.

I have come to tealize this for sure that its not a common code lol Is the tps Located on the front side of the throttle body? oppisite side of the Throttle cable?

Yup its connected to the Throttle plate pin , opposite of the TP spring (and cable)

Thank you very much I really do appreciate the help. When taking the TPS off is there any speacil way to put this back on?

Besides checking to align the pin male/female of the sensor/throttle plate. No nothing really special , those does not need to be adjusted.

What do you mean By the male/female end? I had mine apart checking it ok and its white on the inside with to teeth like slots i guess ? I disconnected the battery and cleared the code ok. Now the Check Engine Light comes on and stays on? Would I assume this is bad? Thank you for the help

Hey Guys I replaced the TPS and problem solved no more codes. Thank you for the help.
