The in-car temp sensor is located directly behind the SHO logo on the passenger side dash.

There is no indication from this diagnostic that you are in need of a recharge. You will need to observe the AC clutch to see if it is cycling.

You will, however, require troubleshooting to determine why the EATC self-test failed. See the service manual or the CD for the procedure.

Schoclie95,

I'm away from my referrence resources, out of the building so to speak.

I think what you are referring to is the "thermister". This is the sensor that is in the evaporator core, which is located behind the glovebox (under the dash). Ford refers to the sensor as a ""Evaporator Discharge Air Temperature Sensor".

There is also an "In-Car Temperature Sensor" that is also a thermister that measures air temperature inside the passenger compartment. It is also under the dash in the vacinity of the evaporator core.

The Helm (Ford) service manual, or any good service manual such as Mitchels, Motor, Chiltons, should have a test proceedure for these sensors in the A/C section.

If you do not have a service manual you should be able to find them at your local library in the referrence section. The service manuals should help you locate the sensors and tell you how to test them. rangerj
