ok I defintely need better brakes, but I like the slicers... however one day it might not be out of the question to get bigger wheels for it. I already have the 11.6 rotors up front on my 94.

I would like to get some Stainless lines, are they sort of universal or such? would ones that work on my 11.6 brakes work on the cobra calipers?

Next question, I know you have to use a cobra caliper bracket and redrill it to make them work on the 11.6 setup with slicers.

Now what would be required to put on the better 13" rotors after it is already setup for the 11.6? It would also be cool to be able to interchange the 11.6 and 13 inch setups to run slicers with grandma tires that last awhile and another set with great performance tires.

Am I even going the right route here, does anyone think I should look at other brake options given the steps I want to do?

U coud swap back and forth between the 11.6 and 13" rotors. You may need a few washers to space the brackets out a little to center the caliper over teh wider 13" rotors.

I'm not totally sure about the 11.6" rotors, but I belive they have to redrill holes in the bracket, then machine off some of the bracket below the holes because the interfere with the knuckle. If you ran the thicker 12" rotor, you could fit the brakes under slicers and still have excellent brakes when running 16's. To swap from the 12" rotors to the 13" rotors, all you need to do is swap out the rotor and use the original holes in the bracket and you're set.

I was thinking about this myself. I came to the conclusion that you would need new caliper brackets. I wouldn't use the redrilled bracket with the larger rotors, this is why: When you modify the bracket for the smaller rotors the old holes just sit down and out of the way not affecting the strength of the peice. If you were to use these modified brackets in the original holes though you would then have the new holes you drilled in play between the mounting point and the caliper. With the larger rotors putting greater torque on the brackets that weren't intended to have holes in them they may just break loose (probably take some hard braking though) taking the brake line and all your stopping ability with it. Best not to chance it.

You could go 13.

Once the brackets are machined for the 11.6" Rotor. You're done. No 13"ers for those machined brackets.

The reason why is this; the offset is now modified. The offset of the 13" Cobras in comparison to the 11.6" SHO Rotors are different.

Although if you did buy a second set of caliper brackets to run 13"s, you could interchange... Although once you run 13" you won't want to go back to 11.6s

Good Luck!

yeah what is this 12" option? I haven't heard too much about it.....they fit under the stock slicers without running spacers?

Two ways to go with a 12" or so option. I have Baer Sport brakes with TCE two piece rotors. The rotors are 12.5" and use PBR calipers.

Or you can go with Todd's 12.1" two piece rotors with willwood calipers.
