I want to get the cobra brakes but I need a few questions answered:
1)'94-'03 system is 13",will that fit under the slicers?
2)if not, can I use differnt brackets, cobra calipers, and some eradispeed rotors(I know lug spacing is different on cobras)?
3)what size rotors will fit under slicers?

Thanks everyone!!

1--NO

2--Yes, you have several different options. The bracket must match the rotors. I used 96 (11.6") SHO rotors with modified Cobra brackets.

3--The largest I have seen that will fit with stock slicers are the 12" Baers.

The 13" Cobra rotors can be made to work by remachining the bolt circle to 41/4", but requires 17" wheel.

Tom,
I guess you're the one that Glen from v8sho email list is talking about. I posted a question on the v8sho email list that I wanted to put the Cobra brake setup on a 98 SHO keeping the oem 16" chrome wheels.
From my measurements the cobra brackets are long by 1/2 inch although that is just a rough estimate. I thought of cutting the brackets, shorten it, weld it back together to fit. I don't know if it will affect the performance of the brackets after the welding though. But I am very interested to know how you modify the cobra brackets. :)

The mounting holes in the Cobra bracket need to be moved inward by .700" and the mounting surface has to be milled about .050" to center the bracket over the rotor. Works and looks great.

Ok, I found a site that makes rotors and will make me an original 13in rotor for our bolt pattern to use on the cobra upgrade. So no more having to find a machine shop to do it.

My question is, other than the rotor modification, are there any other modifications that need to be made on the cobra setup to fit a 94/95 sho? Is there still a bracket modification needed?

If i am correct, the calipers also need to be switched, ie the left caliper on the right side and vice versa.

Thank you in advance for any information that you can help me out with.

Minor correction; the largest to fit the slicer is the SHO Stopper I believe which is 12.2" and has four piston calipers btw. You can go to 13"ers (as many are doing and 'thanks') with only a minor bracket change and new rotors for the existing hats when you get the proper wheels.
Other options abound, would take too long to type it here....
