Anybody have pictures of this kit on their car? I have a machinist who can drill out the rotors, I just need to find out where to redrill holes in the knuckles. I also wanted to see what the kit would look like. And correct me if I'm wrong, but Cobra brakes require 17" wheels, right? One other thing, do the hubs match to the rotor, or do I need hub-centric rings? Thanx guys and gals.

You don't have to redrill the holes in the knuckle. I bought my setup from a guy all together so I am not sure of the brackets but I believe they are just 96 Cobra brackets, rotors and I have the PBR Calipers with the Baer logo but the Cobra Calipers are the same PBR calipers.

My rotors are from a 96 Cobra and they were redrilled to the SHO bolt pattern. The hub is the same size. All this is very easy to bolt on. There are actually only two bolts that hold the bracket and the caliper floats in the bracket.

Here are some pics of my install. If you want higher res pics let me know and I will email them to you. About 1.7 meg each. In one pic you can see a # on the bracket. Somebody look it up and confirm it's a Cobra bracket. Excuse the camera strap in the one pic.

Here is a crop of the Bracket #. It looks like K332-0850-4 to me.

No its not a Cobra bracket. Its a PBR bracket, with a PBR claiper with Baer's name on it. Not sure what kit you have but most of us use the 99 and up stuff which has a 13" rotor. Same setup The COBRA is just a name, just like Corvette stamps on thers and Baer puts on thiers.

17" wheels are required if useing a COBRA based bracket. There were a set of Baers made for the sho which used a different bracket and let you keep the 16" wheels, but the rotor stayed stock.

Hey William, can you send me those pics? Any and all of the ones you have if you don't mind. And don't worry about the size of the file- I got cable :D . And I was thinking of ordering a kit with slotted and cadmium plated rotors from here- Disc Brakes They seem to have good prices on full kits with powder coating. I wanted red calipers to match the green w/red Bullitt look. Thanx.

Me buy brakes, me bolt on brakes, me likes brakes, me no nothing of makes and models.

Does PBR have a website about their calipers or are they an engineering firm? I don't know the history of this stuff.

I bought my brake setup from another SHO owner who had bought them and then decided not to use them, so I don't know where he got the stuff. They are 13.xx" Ford Factory Cobra rotors. I am not sure of the year, but I though all Cobra from 96-up had them. Didn't the 94 Cobra R have them also?

I think there is a little confusion here and I was not trying to be a wise ass.

I know the calipers/brackets are made by PBR but all I was trying to say is that you can walk down to your local ford dealer and order the parts with Ford part #'s. A lot of people don't know that. They think you have modify stuff or order the parts from baer, since they offer the 13" kit for the SHO.

Since you have the setup I guess you could have answered CrazySHO88's question better than I could have. Thanks for your help with the part #'s and all.

Complete brake upgrade for a 93.

Spindles / hoses / bais plugs / PBR calipers / Drilled slotted rotors / SS lines / Syn fluid / and carbon metalic pads.
Above was about a grand in parts.

the calipers and rotors cost me about $450 Whats included in Baers $650 kit?

Actually with the 94 and up spindles the calipers bolt directly on. absolutely no modifications needed.

Hey ShoTime would you mind telling me what size tires you have on your rims and what size rims you have? I'm thinking about 17 rims with 215/55/17's. I'd like to get an idea of how they'll look since my cars height seems similar to yours.

Now they are 225/45/17's (check the sig)

225 are the smallest I would run on a 7 inch

I had great performance on another car with 205/50-16s on 16 X 7.5" rims. Personally, when I can scrounge up the change I will be putting 215/50-17 AVS ES100 on 17X7 centerline RPM wheels. If I find I need more traction then I'll just buy a quaife.

If anyone ever runs another list of must have mods for the mtx, I will put a Quaife at the top of the list. It is uncanny how it changes the overall demeanor of the car.
