My clutch has a rough feel to it when releasing it slowly.. its like it slides smooth and then it gets rough (almost slight bind to it) before coming up all the way.
Only happens with the engine running.
It's smooth for about half of the way while releasing then the clutch pedal has a rough feel to it. Just noticed it today while accelerating from a stop on a hill.
has 120k on it, and I'm sure the clutch has been changed at least once before because where the rod shifter bolts to the side of the tranny with the giant bolt, someone f'ed up the threads nicely on it.
Shifting is good
no slipping issues (tested it by putting it in high gear at low speed.. rpms remained low)
no vibration
no rattle feel in the clutch pedal
If the TOB bearing seizes, what happens exactly? does it spin on top of the pressure plate before chewing up fingers?
should I be concerned?
