So I pushed the clutch pedal down and now I need to hook it up to the tranny but I can't get it to extend far enough. How to I fix it?

Have someone pull it up, or prop it up to unlock the quadrant, then pull the clutch cable on the engine side.

yup, prop up the clutch pedal to unlock the quadrant, then you can pull the cable on the engine side to get it hooked up. You will still need to grab it with a vice-grip or similar to pull it, but you will be able to do it.
