Has anyone tried to lubricate their clutch cable, or can it be done??? I have a fairly stiff cluch pedal, and I can feel a bit of binding and hear a bit of noise as I push the pedal in... If so, where would you do it from?

You can prop the clutch pedal up with a 7" long tool or stick of wood to release the ratchet mechanism. Once that is done, you can pull the cable end out of the actuation lever on the transaxle casing. This will allow the cable movement to be isolated.

The cable should move freely with your hand motions. These cables rarely fail or bind. It is much more likely that it is the pressure plate and throwout bearing that are the source of the friction.

If the cable is tough to move, you can work some grease into the sheath with back and forth motion of the cable to loosen its motion.
