I just finished installing everything in the car after changing out the clutch setup. I installed the cable in the release arm went in the car pushed the pedal down and I get barley anything at all maybe 1" of resistance. Tried pulling up on the cable and there are no clicks. If put the 7" in piece of wood under the pedal I almost have 1/2 " of slack in front of the release arm.
Any ideas? How far ahead should the release arm go? Mine is staying about in line with the engine.

I got it. I had to push up the back of the adjuster with my hand for it to take up the slack in the cable. Finally done!
