Cleanning MAF sensor 97 SHO

Hey guys I was wondering how to clean the MAF sensor on my 97 SHO, I was reading some articles about it but its very vague on how to do it. I also read that running a K&N panel filter can acuse the MAF so get dirty quicker and cause other problems with how the car runs?? Does anyone have any info on this? Or any pics of what to clean on the MAF? Thank you for the info.

You can either take the elements out using a security torx bit or just take the MAF off as one piece. Then spray the two small wires with some non residue contact cleaner. Be careful not to actually touch the wires as they are very fragile.

The K&N will not cause problems unless it is over oiled.
