Well guys I decided to polish out the '89 and I had no idea the paint was going to come back as well as it did. I have a few other mechanicals to tinker with, but my main concern is the interior seats. I want to keep this car now, but the seats are SHOT! I hate owning a car that requires seat covers like this.
My wife loves the SHOs now that she had some time in my '89 and may possibly be picking up one of two '95 cars with an auto trans for her. She likes auto cars and she rarely hammers on a car like I do so it should be fine.
Anyway if anyone knows of some mint or very nearly mint seats (front and rear) please let me know. The car is White with grey interior. I would not have issue with black, grey, or multi-tone upholstery.
Also if someone could let me know what years and models of FORD/Mercury vehicles are a direct bolt in or relatively minor modifications required I would be greatly appreciated.
