After months of trouble shooting a hesitation problem in my 92 ATX, I've decided to jsut replace everything gradually. This weekend's project was supposed to be the CID (cam position sensor). I hit up Ford, and they said that it got discontinued like a month ago, and they're discontinued parts dealer wants $180 for it (HA!). Pep Boys has a CID for a 92 3.0 for $30. What should I do?

First '92 ATX does not exist.

Pep Boys one is probably it. Auto Zone has them. Do a search here, you'll find the Wells part #.

Lots of aftermarket places have them for a lot less than Ford. I just picked up one yesterday in fact.

Yeah, I picked one up from bridge auto for a bout 30 bucks a couple of months ago, and I also agree...there is no such thing as a 92 ATX...

I just this week ordered one from Ford Parts Network (the ad is on this forum's home page at the bottom). I think, with shipping, it's gonna run me around $42. :thumb:

AutoZone does have it. Try the Powertrain and Engine Management category.
