Or another idea... what about another Frankenmuth dinner? Bronner's Christmas World will be jumping, make for a great holiday atmosphere. And more chicken dinner... mmmm.

Thoughts? Interest?

If it's that far up, count me out. :)

It wouldn't be that bad of a drive for you. Stay on I 69 most of the way.
It's been a while since I've been in your neighborhood, any good places to eat? Auburn maybe? ( I know where the Dairy Queen is :dribble: )

Back in Michigan ... again.
Frankenmuth is a healthy drive for most, especially for the Indiana crew. However long it took you to get to the drive-in this summer, add another 2 hours. The good news is that it's highway for all but just the last few miles: I-69 to I-75 to the Birch Run exit.

Frankenmuth is the kind of place where you could even make a mini-vacation if you wanted. As I said, Bronner's Christmas world is the largest Christmas store in the world, and that close to Christmas the place (and the whole town) will be magical.

Downtown Frankenmuth stays jumping as well, and of course the legendary Chicken dinners are on hand at the Bavarian Inn :)

Here's Frankenmuth's web site, complete with a distance chart to see how far away you are

About 5 miles away in Birch Run (right off I-75 actually) is the largest outlet mall in the midwest:

But like I said, if anyone has thoughts on other places, speak up! Post links if you can. I'd like the Christmas dinner to be a nicer, more upscale place. Not like $30/person dinners, but a nice atmosphere with good food.

F-Muth it is!! It was still cool last year even though it was in February. I can't imagine it 2 weeks from Christmas. And Mandy, my lights aren't that bad, I might be re-doing them though because mine have the runs. Frankenmuth is a bit of a drive, but isn't that half the fun?

Yeah if it is close to the drive in from this summer or like a 2 hour drive i might be able to swing it. If the weather is good and all and if there is no snow or salt on the road. But if it is any thing past that. Count me out.. just to far away

It is 2 hours from where you were for the Coldwater Meet. There will be snow, there will be salt.

I dunno, over 2 hours of driving to eat is a bit much for me........especially in the dead of winter with questionable roads and weather. ;) There are plenty of good places to eat near me but I don't want it in my backyard. I was just thinking maybe something southwest of Detroit, something more central for everyone. :thumb:

That place doesn't sound too bad. And that's what I'm talking about, it's waaaay more central for all the club members. :) I mean, a long drive is all good and fun................in the Summer time. :p

Not to mention if everyone is in their winter beaters a long drive wouldn't be any fun. Although if I get the ATX up and running in time it will be a decent drive.
