The SHO will never blister the drag strips or the SCCA races unless you dump a load of cash into them. I'm keeping mine stock.

But for a cruiser SHOs are great. Nimble through traffic with a nice smooth torque band, sporty suspension, AND family car insurance rates!

Plus they look pretty cool.

I love my SHO!

Actually, Sergio here in houston has managed to do very well in G-stock driving his 89 in the Houston SCCA. He typically places in the top 3 in his group that includes f-bodies...

cool I can see how a Gen I with a 5 speed could do well at the SCCAs in the stock classes. I was speaking in terms of my Gen II ATX doing poorly. I weighed in at 3640 at the Ennis track with me in it. Looking forward to the spring run.
