Hey guys, Ive been having issues with my 95 MTX for quite a while now and Im trying to finally get it fixed so I dont have to keep throwing $100+ a week in gas into my Dad's truck just so I have something to drive. I did some looking around earlier on here and read some previous posts so I think Ive got a fairly good understanding of what im dealing with, however any additional advice would be great. Here's what Ive got going on:

Had water in 4 of 6 plug wells since early March, finally cleaned them all out two weeks ago. Also replaced the ypipe, put in a flex pipe and new O2's last month as well. The plug wires and plugs are new as of december and barely have 4-5k on them. She was running very rough while the water was in the SP wells so I checked the codes and did the CB test. The test threw a bunch of O2 codes (136,172 and the 225 for the knock sensor) and told me that cylinder 1 and 2 were toast. So anyway she sat for the last week or so and I went out to start it today and she started fine, drove fine and then threw a CEL after about 5 minutes of driving that stayed on. I went back and ran the codes again and heres what I got:

KOEO
114 (O,R) IAT sensor out of range - IAT
551 Problem in Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) solenoid/circuit - Solenoids

Stored Memory
172 (R,M) Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was lean - Single, Right orr Rear HO2S - Fuel control
176 (M) Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was lean Left or Front HO22SSS - Fuel control
542 (O,M) Fuel pump open, bad ground or always on - - Power / Fuel Pump Circuits

KOER
116 (O,R) Engine Coolant (ECT) sensor out of range - ECT
172 (R,M) Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was lean - Single, Right orr Rear HO2S - Fuel control
136 (R) Oxygen sensor not switching/system lean Left or Front HO2S - Fuel control
225 (R) Knock sensor not tested (ignore if not pinging) - KS

And the CB test came back with a 9 this time around.

Ok so from what i already know and what I read on here today this is what I now think I know. The 114 and 116 are probably due to the engine not being warmed up enough. Since the O2s are new the 136, 172, and 176 are probably a MAF problem or intake/vacuum issue? I dont have an IMRC so the 551 is nothing and Im assuming the 542 is related to the O2 codes? Some other info I should pass along: I checked the MAF today and it was clean, I also checked the hoses on the intake (some are cracked...they could all be replaced probably) but none of them are leaking or really bad, and sometimes to get the car started I have to have the gas pedal at WOT. I also just went out and checked and the tip of the front driver's spark plug is a whitish/grey color.

I hope this isnt too long or confusing for anyone. The car seems to drive fine now but Id like to get the problem fixed soon so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks :thumb:

that 551 code is real important that means the solenoid that controls your seconderies is bad trust me had that code for a year before i figured it out. also the code for the iat sensor means its bad
remember that sensor refrences the temp going into the engine no mater if the car is warm or cold

Are you losing coolant? Pull an O2 sensor and have a look see. Try to rule out a head gasket leak.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have a bit of additional info now...

I replaced the TB gasket because it was cracked and took apart the MAF sensor and it was clean. I noticed that the bigger hose that runs from below the fuel rail to the bottom of the TB was loose so I reconnected it. I also noticed that the hose running from the valve cover to the intake/TB looked like it was leaking oil? There seems to be oil in the TB now and some in the intake. There also seemed to be some oil in that lower hose running under the fuel rail.

I am also now getting a flickering red oil light when Im idling. The car will idle around 950rpm and once im at a complete stop the oil light starts flickering and then goes away after I give the car some gas.

I will pull an O2 sensor and check that out when I get a chance.

Any other advice or ideas?
