carb cleaner on rubber seals

would carb cleaner hurt the rubber seals on the car(all rubber seals in general)? if so, what should i use to clean them and parts around them?

i disagree.. carb cleaner is used most of the time for carbs.. lol.. which has seals and gaskets etc.. never does any harm.. if you have a concern.. take an old o ring or rubber gasket of choice.. put it in a bowl overnight and see what happens.. but carb cleaner in general evaps really quickly when your using it for clean up. so really no problems.. they sell carb/injector clean in a bottle or can.. so no worries. you can also use brake clean no problem there.. or just some simple degreaser if your talking outside of the engine like simple green or any brands.. just read the label
