I noticed that whenever i downshift to slow down that when i come to a stop a cloud of white smoke goes past my car. And it isn't the best smelling smoke either. What to you guys think it could be maybe valve seals or guides?

Look into valve stem seals. Can be done with the motor in the car.
Mine has started to do it in the last 15k or so. But Im running catless, so a bit is expected. Just have to watch oil use.
How is your oil consumption? Does it blow a little smoke first thing in the morning too?
NotSoSlowSHO said:Another something to look into is the PCV system. If blowby overcomes the oil separator's ability to knock down oil and vapors before it reaches the intake, the motor will start processing oil along with it's air-fuel mixture.
Simple way to check this.... just pull off the intake crossover tube, and look into the surge tanks. If there is oil puddles, youve got blowby/PCV issues.
