half-way there, I think.
I was going to post this earlier, but I wanted to make sure that it worked correctly. This is for any of you that have factory keyless entry and want an alarm that works with it.

Well I decided that the Outlaw needed a car alarm. But I wanted to retain the use of the factory keyless entry fob and door key pad. I talked to alot of car alarm vendors and installers, they all told me that I would not find what I was looking for.

I decided to search online to see what I could find. Well to my suprise I found this I called the company I told them that I had a 95' SHO w/ factory keyless and wanted to add on an alarm that would work with it. No problem, the System 4 is what I needed.

I purchased the unit Weds of last week and I received it this past Monday and got to work. The directions that come with the unit suck and there's no wiring diagram or descriptions to help figure it out. Thankfully, Dave @ Power Call Sirens is very nice and help me sort out the wiring.

The next problem that I encountered is programming the thing. There are 20 steps to programming it and again no good directions on what to do. After several hours of trial and error I figured it out.

This is not a top of the line alarm, no radar, talking voice or any of that stuff. This is a basic alarm. It has a status LED, 2 stage shock sensor, monitors the doors (hood and truck are optional, but easily added) uses the horn for the siren and has starter ****. The best part is it arms and disarms by way of the key fob or the door key pad.

My 95 had this when I got the car, I thought it was awesome incorporating the alarm into the factory keyfob. Mine has an aftermarket siren though and the alarm can be enabled and disabled through the keypad also.

Did all of the SHOs that came with the keypad also come with a handheld unit?

Wow, that sounds pretty good. Do you know if the alarm has any extra channel outputs for other devices?

No other outputs on this alarm, it is strictly a factory add on alarm to the keyless entry, even came with Ford window stickers. Other than window roll up/down I wouldn't see a need for more outputs. There are a few wires that I didn't use that could be used for other things, extacly what, I don't know.

Does anybody have any more info on the System4 Alarm? I'm pretty sure my 93 MTX has it, if it is a factory available alarm. I'm just wondering how to turn down the sensitivity of it, because it will go off quite often without anybody even coming near it.

Hey guys, I don't want to crash the party but Code Alarm carries a "add-on" alarm for factory cars with remote keyless entry. I have it for my Stang.

If you are wondering ...... its model # PRO-F30 or PRO-F40 if you want remote start. PM me with any questions.
