Dang I missed it all, I could join up but keep me posted when everything gets going.

That's what I get for not getting on here as much as I used too.

One of the guys that works there has a SHO and he said the SHO's hardly ever get touched. From what I saw last week a couple of interior pieces and and some cam gears are just about all that's missing.

WOW! When I told SHOtime3 that, I never even knew about this forum. :munch:

TN,KY and AL?

Hey, we have to get something going up here, even if its a meet somewhere. I just moved up to TN. I'm in Dickson county, right outside Nashville. We need to get a TN, KY and maybe even get some of northern AL into it.

weve had a couple meets in the past.....one was at BeechBend Raceway Park in Bowling Green Ky, we ended up only having 2 of us show up after 10+ said they was coming

then not to long ago we set a meet for Mamouth Cave in Cave City Ky and had noone show so i basically quit the idea......and now im stationed out at Fort Bragg Nc so its pretty much done enless someone elsewants to try to set somthing up

thats pretty sad, I think one thing we have going against us, is that what dont have our own forum club page for the TN/KY area. I emailed the moderator before a while back, to see if he can help start one up for us. But I never heard back. If we can get our own forum page under the clubs, we might be able to set something up. It wouldn't be overnight, but it would help alot.

I think some of the issues lie in how many SHOs are actually in our area and how far the population centers are from each other. It's along way from Ashland, Kentucky to Memphis (10 hours). Even for me, Georgetown, KY to Bowling Green is 3 hours one way.

I think we do need to meet. But, we also need to see who is interested in the KY/TN area and find a centered location to meet.

I agree, its not the end of all the issues, but if florida club,(which I use to live there) can schedule track events and florida its an easy 7 hour spread through the state, then we could atleast make an attempt. Bowling green has a track, if it was planned for a saturday, or even saturday/sunday track day, you wouldn't try to make it, even if it was a 3 hour drive? Since moving to TN, I have realized everything is quite a distance away. Truely even if a meet couldn't be done, at least a club forum, can put people who live close to each other in touch. In case one needs help or whatever.

I used to have a car club (it was just a mixture of cars, not just SHOs) and it did really well for a few years. Then people were moving because I live near Ft. Knox and everyone was getting stationed else where, but I'm all up for it. The main thing was most of the guys didn't like a girl running it. I don't want to be the "president" of the club, but I'd be happy to be in it.

The somewhat club I was in, had no president, If we did start something I guess it would just be a bunch of people meeting up somewhere. As the saying goes There are two things that stink after a couple days.Fish and Hierarchy

exactly...but someone (whether it be a few people or not) need to make a decision or plan. It's hard enough to get something done or planned if no one is willing to make a decision to ask others to hang out, etc. so whether or not you designate a "heirarchy," someone is going to organize these events. Or if someone doesn't then it will never happen. Obviously if someone doesn't suggest something or makes something definitive it will never happen. I'd just like to hang out with people who have similar interests, not exactly have "car club meetings, club dues, etc." That is more of a car show club.

i talked to Beth about this before and there lies the problem.....she said we would need a substantial backing (serious members) and preferably a webpage....there were numerous people who said theyd love to get in on it but when it came time for meets and what not everyone couldnt make it

as was stated before alot of the problem is the wide span of the 2 states and people not having the time or money to make the trips

No problem northern Georgia doesn't matter. More than welcome (if it ever gets started). I'm curious, I see alot of local help posts in the club pages. Why couldn't we get a club forum just to start off with that purpose, if a meet happens or whatever great. But if not at least ties can be made with other people in your area. I think the closest to us is tidewater, which is NC I think. Ours can cover alot of states for example northern georgia and many others. I emailed Beth to see what can be done. Thanks for your guys interest, if this works out, it should benifit us along with others.
