What do you guys think that have one? Worth it or not? Any noticeable differences?

Besides more noise don't expect much on a turbo vehicle. Manufacturers will claim a hp difference, but sitting on a dyno does not replicate the real world. Our intake is designed really well so I don't see a new cai really giving any noticeable horsepower.

"Seat of the pants" I noticed a diifferance when I installed an Airaid system. I think it was worth it.

See my post on "Tunes" just above....

However, there may be gains in keeping your engine a bit cooler during hard acceleration, thereby gaining a bit of HP. My custom CAI
(not AirRaid) filter & pipe remain much cooler in my Flex, than a similar RotoFab system in my G8's. But have no idea if it keeps it cool after the turbo's and intercooler.

Would have bought the AirRaid, had I not already created my own CAI. Even if it doesn't add HP, it is still great "Engine Fluff"!

On a big hp car that is taxing the stock intake, it might be worth something, but probably not much on these cars. Just the same, I bought one and will probably install it.

I've had mine installed now for better than 3 months. Any improvement I've noticed was been seat of the pants. The car seemed more responsive to throttle inputs. Improved sound under WOT spurts. There was a slight increase in mpg. So, is it worth it, only you can make that decision. I will say that the CAI and the Livernois tune was the best money I've spent. As soon as Uncle Sam gives me some money back, Corsa will be next.

And welcome to the sickness. It's nice to see the 4th gen cars are as addicting as the other 3.:omgsho:

Worth the money? Guess it depends on your opinion of worth the money. As far as power...my car makes about 10 more hp than Livernois car with my CAI being the only difference. If that's worth 1000 bucks...I don't know

It's by far the best looking intake, but it is way overpriced.

Perhaps we could paint our piping with liquid Chrome!

It really does look nice though.

I was first quoted around $700. by Torrie, and I might have jumped, but the price went up to the above number.

I was looking it seems like the hennessey cai is made from stainless steel/ steel parts. I was wondering how hot those tubes get from engine heat(maybe darreli can answer)? I was thinking about getting the kit. If it was aluminum probably would be better I'd imagine as the specific heats of aluminum is almost twice that of stainless steel. In other words it takes twice as much energy(heat) to raise the temperature of aluminum the same amount. Thus aluminum should be cooler. Even though the aluminum has a higher thermal conductivity then s.s. thermal conductivity depends on the temperature if the temperature is lower then less energy to transferred. Just kicking around some ideas.
