Sam- I looked into the crown vic option early on and it didn't offer what I was looking for. First I wanted to get away from the Cobra caliper (btw- both the cobra and the C4/5/6 calipers are PBRs) and second it was too thin and too wide (~12.4). It still requires re-drilling the bolt holes.

BlackonBlack89- I may do that, but seeing how the dust boots are still in good shape, it may be overkill for now.

What Crown Victoria Rotors were you looking at? The ones I have sourced are 12''x1.18''.

I tried the crown vic rotor route, but the hat was too shallow, so the outside of the bracket would rub. It was a 12" rotor from an 02, I believe. Did the hat offset change in different years?

I think I was looking at the 2002 and older 12.4"D x 1.1"T x 2.59"H. The 2003 and newer are 305mmD x 28mmT x 45mmH = 12"D x 1.1"T x 1.77"H, according to Rockauto. Not sure where you are seeing 12" x 1.18".

I'm sure I looked at both during my hours of searching, but opted for something thicker and slightly heavier. The thicker size of the rotor fits the C5 caliper better and has larger cooling vanes. The C4 is designed for a 1.1" thick rotor.
