Leave it to me to ask for the crap no one would ever need:

Lug wrench for the spare
Shift **** if it's in good shape
How's the spare tire cover look?

No lug wrench, shift **** is decent - it's your if you want it, spare tire cover is warped and carpet is peeling up around the edges

Can you cut me a couple of quarter panel patch panels, including a couple inches of inner fender?

I just realized this is the AZ forum. Sorry bout jumping in. But I don't suppose there are too many people in AZ that need quarters...

 you guys crack me up

Does anyone know of a place (scrapyard) that would come pick up the 90 after I am done parting it? I know junkyards will come get halfway intact cars, but I doubt they will come get one that is headed straight for the smelter.

93rev2sev- I may be able to cut you some patch panels, depending on the size.

If you have the title then the metal recyclers will take it. If not you will have to cut it up in to pieces. I got a trailer and can help you if you need it.

Mike, i have an extra lug wrench, my car came with two for some reason...

you're talking about just the stock letter L looking thing with a socket on the short end and a pry blade on the long end right? i found two in the spare well day i bought the car, you can have it for free.

you can also have my T handle B&M style shifter handle if you want too. i took it out, i no longer like it. i'm trying to find another stock black one myself. the leather was all but peeled off the one that was in my car from someone that had fingernails and a bad nervous habit of picking at the stitching.

and as far as a spare cover goes, unless they are completely different from the SLO tauraii i'm going to the junk yard saturday and would be more than happy to pull one for you. i'll let you know what the price is for it but i dont see more than 5-10 dollars. last time i was there i pulled an entire carpet for my friend's integra for $10 bucks.

I was told by a local towing company that you don't need a title to scrap the car if the motor is missing. That was a couple years back and don't know if it is still true

I'll take the shell. Title is a bonus.

Sometimes you need it, sometimes you don't. Depends on the scrap yard, the employee and the condition of the car. If the engine and tranny are out, they almost never want a title.

I'm sad to see her go, especially piece by piece, but hopefully it will keep some other SHOs on the road. If it was my silver car I would still be crying

Engine and tranny will be gone. Do you still want the shell if it is all cut up?

Yeah, as long as the pieces aren't to small. Loading a whole Taurus shell that has been cut into 2 inch squares would be a PITA. Hack that guy's quarter panel section out, pull off doors, make a sunroof over the back seat, shoot it with a bow and arrow. Doesn't matter, I'm just going to winch it onto a trailer then take it down to the scrap yard.

Last one I took down there weighed about 2000 lbs. Maybe I'll finally have my Gen3 stripped for the trip to the scrap yard too by then.
