TPR's should be similar in strength but they will not have to be lubed to prevent the squeeking that is associated with poly.

Rod end bearings will work but they don't last long on the street and give the car a very harsh ride.
The Rod end links on the front sway bar are already bearings. TPR is as hard as you want to go on the front bushings. It seems to be all of the same durameter, hard.
The sub-frame mounts could get overstressed if you took the flex out of the front and start snapping. The bolts are already on the small side.
Of course if you are just talking about these changes for racing then you have a trial and error situation anyway and probably every racer has a slightly different solution.

Front Sway Bar Bushing

I finally got the chance to take off my front sway bar bushings yesterday and I realized that the set of TRW bushings I got from advance auto has a groove on both ends that does not fit the OEM bracket. The old bushings that I have did not have raised groove...I tried to get bushings from NAPA, but their bushings are similar with the TRW's. Now, my car has been on jack stands since yesterday. Today, I found out that our local Salvo auto parts sells MOOG bushings and so I ordered every MOOG bushing that I can get for the Taurus. I also ordered the Moog K8802 bushing for the sway bar. I just hope that as soon as I pickup the bushing tomorrow that it will fit nicely with the sway bar bushing bracket. Did anyone come across with this problem?

I just had my suspension put together this past weekend. The #K8802 will fit the GenIII 22mm fsb. Do note though that it is not TPR - just regular OEM rubber. I don't believe TPR (As far as Moog is concerned) exists for 22mm fsb or any size bar.

Moog K8802

Redsho,
Thanks for the response. Last Monday, our local auto parts store ordered the Moog K8802 and it was not the right one. On my 95 SHO, the bracket is flat and the 8802's surface has a groove just like the other 'generic' bushings out there. Finally, my local parts shop was able to narrow down the right bushing + bracket that they will order from 'Energy Suspension'. The specs were just right for the bracket and bushing. I am suppose to pickup the bushings this morning. (Update coming soon) :salute:

Front Sway Bar Bushing Installation w/ Moog K8802

As I expected, the K8802 bushings are not the right bushings for my 95 SHO. The bushing had grooves that will inhibit the OEM bracket to sit flat. The correct bushing was indeed the 'Energy Suspension' bushings that came with a brand new bracket and washers. The install was very straightforward despite the limited space underneathe using a 13mm 'open-end' tool. :)

Hmmm... my K8802 seems to fit just fine on my 22mm fsb. Glad the energy suspension worked for you. I was looking to do that route too... but I needed to put mine in that day & couldn't find any local stores that stocked the parts.

ive recently gotten thicker sway bars, and have been looking at endlinks and bushings all night. ive ordered moog HD endlinks for the front and rear, $68 shipped to my door for everything. im now looking for TPR bushings, my problem is i have rare size bars. i came across this site however, has TPR bushings in pretty much any size... i believe these are universal also, not sure if theyll work on our cars yet or not, also dont know how reputable this seller is.. http://www.suspension.com/s.b.bushings.htm
