Hi, my 1994 ATX w/ 85K miles has a broken rear strut. Other than suspension issues and tire wearing, are there other issues. I am especially concerned if it is a safety issue.

You mean the strut rod is broken? As in no longer connected?

That's the only thing that effectively locates the suspension vertically. Yes, it's a safety issue.

It's worse than that, the strut is what keeps the spindle from turning with the tire when the brakes are applied!!
