what pads are you using?
Performance Friction Carbon Metallic
The best you can fit under 15" wheels is 2001 Mustang GT dual piston PBR calipers. They require the knuckles, caliper bracket bolts, and rotors from any '94-'95 Taurus SLO or SHO, then put a set of full metalic/carbon metalic pads in them. Ask me how I know.... this is the closest to the '96 upgrade for stopping power and the best option that will fit.
If you only plan to use the car on the street, high performance pads will get you a much higher braking capacity at a very small cost outlay. I used Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads on the original 10.2" rotors on my 1991 SHO on track days and had no fade. I did measure rotor temps as much as 900F though. The larger rotor diameters will gain you the high load duty for track use with greater heat sink capacity, but street driving does not absolutely require it.
what other cars have what is needed to do the upgrade? Its hard to find any sho parts in junk yards around me
