Thought I'd check and see if anyone else around here has ever had a rotor so rusted to the hub that serious pounding won't even get it off of there. I really don't know what to try next, but it just won't come off! The other side was warped and it came off just fine. Not to mention the genius of the loaded caliper assemblers putting the wrong pad into the wrong caliper. I'm glad I finally figure out by the little markings RH, LH being reversed. :nut:

On top of that, the CV Halfshaft is bad and so I have that out already, but now I'm afraid the wheel bearing is bad, too. Will the bearing move a bit with the halfshaft out, or is that toast? I know that replacement hubs aren't too expensive, but how the heck do you remove the ABS sensor without trashing it too. This car is a real piece of work (the '91 +). I just want to get it reassembled so my brother can drive it again. Even the '94 isn't this much of a PITA!

Thanks,
Chris

When ever you do get it off put a little never seize on the mating areas of the rotor and hub. And go back and do it to the other one while your still there. Maybe a little heat since it looks like the bearing is toast...

Thanks for the response. My brother got the rotor off by using some pb blaster and really beating it really hard. He did put some anti seize stuff on i think so it hopefully won't happen again. I think it turns out that the wheel bearing is still fine, we put everything on and it doesn' really move to much.

It's good we finally got it together. We just have to hope nothing else needs replacing. :nut: :nut: :nut: :nut: :nut:
