First one is...

Is this pad unusable with the edge being dented?

Should I try to remove the melted pad/rotor out of the slots?

Give it a swipe with a flat file, I think it can be used again.
Clean the groove, it can't hurt.
I would get a kit for the caliper pistons, especially the rubbers.
Would it be possible that you have one brake doing most of the work, and that is making it run hot?

Probably should check the pistons & bores, make sure there's no scoring. May have to wind up getting a new caliper (or two).

Ended up having both sets(left & right sides) of the rubber boots with some melting...haha...makes me laugh a little even saying that.

Went and got new calipers, they now require the bracket that caliper mounts to for core...didn't know that so I just left new ones there and reused old mounts. Ended up taking off the old ones and cleaning and repainting them with the new calipers.

I had a flat head screwdriver that's wore way down, used it to scrape the slots clean. The stuff chipped right out and left the grooves looking like new. Since I had those off I decided to tape em up and repaint them too...

Gave up on bleeding the brakes around 9, think they're good...but will try in the morning again....while the lady was pushing on the stop pedal, I swear I heard the HPFP skip a beat a couple times? It's never did anything like that before.

Good to hear the brakes are straightened out! HPFP? What did it sound like? Some logging in Torque in the future?

It's a high rate ticking sound from that thing, sounded like it just missed a couple ticks.

Maybe it was working so good it just took a few off...

Were those the ebc sport ones. The all black variety rotors? I saw them and liked the look but i assume the black on face wears away?

Yes, the black break in coating wore off in about 20 miles.

I cooked em on a track day...I drove it pretty hard, used the full stopping potential many times in a row at high speeds and then ran into traffic and started easing into the corners, bad move.

Good for street & dragway...not so much for track

Yesterday I struggled to bleed the brakes, just wouldn't build pressure.

So after checking for leaks everywhere I confused to not find any...end up disconnecting the brake line bolt and find that the copper washer part that meets the caliper looks to have melted and was in the threads.

Must have been a good fit in the old threads, but not the new caliper...

WOW, Rich think maybe the front rubber flex lines took it hard too. Might be collapsed some on the inside. Just a guess buddy.
Rubber lines seem ok, the 6" of metal brake line before the rubber hose was a great idea...lol

The copper washers were melted into the bolt threads pretty good too, had to use pliers to unscrew the washer all the way off...lol
