Almost ready for the road test. Gotta put the fuel pump in the tank tomorrow and should be driving it next week.

Got the MSD installed...

And a little video of it starting and running. Dead smooth idle with 48lb injectors. Gotta love it.

jeeez...

did you modify the v2 to be shaft driven or does it come like that? it looks like such an easy build after the brackets and all are fabbed up.

dont have to change the battery placement, the intake is on the normal side, im guessing the maf is in the fenderwell, and no huge piping just that 180* bend which doesnt look most effective but hey its damn simple.

EDIT: the T in the intake is for a vacuum line im guessing? oh and why the dis4 i thought the sho had a really good ignition system anyways?

I put the MSD in there mainly for the rev limiter. The factory rev limiter is in the fuel and when you're packed out and pumpin' a buncha' boost in there, it's not a good idea to start shutting off injectors.

The "T" in the inlet to the blower is the bypass return. The bypass valve is under the discharge plumbing. It vents boost pressure back into the intake tract, a must for MAF tuning. It also opens with boost pressure, so I can pulley the blower to make more boost at a lower rpm, then limit the boost for an essentially stock engine.

The bower is your basic V2-SQ blower. The shaft drive system is our design. We build the whole kit. The shaft has a coupling on one end that atatches to the input shaft of the blower. The other end has a double row ball bearing that's factory sealed. The pulleys are also custom built and I'm driving the alternator with the back side of the belt. That's right, the alternator spins backwards. Rectified ac current is rectified ac current. The alternator doesn't give a damn which way you turn it. The only thing that has Vortech on it is the blower and the bypass valve.

Well, I'm close enough to DC/ Baltimore/ Etc... Got a couple buds up in Springfield, VA with some Stangs... One Yellow 02 GT with a Vortech, I think he's got 430 at the wheels... The other, aint much, just a Red 04 Cobra with 675 at the wheels... FUN car.

This car won't run around those guys, but it will get some respect. 325hp to the floor is a lot of fun, even if it is on the front wheels.

From a dig, it's over quick. But gettem' on a roll and it's a lot more fun.
