Have a question about the BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert. I plan on maybe putting a Deer Catcher (Push Bumper) . In my travels on the rural roads i have been hit by Deer and Turkeys destroying the front of a Escape and a 2010 Rav4. 79 T-Bird Destroyed the flock of Turkeys :)
Question will the bumper interfere with the BLIS System. Dont want something beeping at me all the time.
or messing up a great looking car. Yes I know the comments about the push bumper will surface :)
SHO will be purchased in Early July, Black on Black
Thanks

If your putting the push bumper we should be able to reasonably conclude that it will be front bumper right? BLIS/CTA Works off the rear bumper. If for some reason you decide to get Active Park Assist then the front bumper could be affected. If not then the push bumper should be no factor.

The front push bumper could affect that since the APA ultrasonic radar sensors based on the distance from vehicle not factoring any extensions beyond the bumper.

With BLIS and CTA it works... A simple setting Enabled/Disabled. It has saved my bacon on a few occasions. Keep the sensors clean and clear of obstructions.
