Didn't think it would happen, but it did. I went to accelerate the other day, and I hear a loud pop from the engine, and for a quick second the RPM's shoot up, but I'm really not moving. As I ease off the gas, the car seems to drive okay, so I slowly make my way back home (only a couple miles) to see what's going on.

Upon opening the hood, I find the left side inter-cooler to throttle body hose has blown off and separated itself from the plastic ring holding it on. The force was so great that it even blew off the windshield washer fluid reservoir lid next to it.

So now I guess I'm ordering the EPP noisemaker eliminator pipe. I'm assuming these are made to handle higher horsepower than stock? This should solve the problem, right?

Yes, the noise maker delete will solve your issues. The plastic clamps don't like lasting and I'm surprised more people haven't had issues. However, pretty sure you can just use another metal clamp for the time being if you are dealing with that big boost leak
