Blend Door Actuator

I have been unable to find a Blend Door Actuator for a 93 Sho. I found a new BDA for a 1991 SHO. What are the internal differences after 1991? Can I swap the motor and any damaged gears from one to the other? Is there a source for a new blend door actuator? Thanks

You may have to go to the section where people have whole parts cars they are parting out, and get the seller to take it out for you, before they ship it.
Because they are difficult to remove, most cars get crushed with the blend door still in them.
Blend door actuators are grouped as follows: 89 is by itself, 90 to 92 are the same, 93 to 95 are the same. I don't know for sure, but I think you can only swap parts between the units in the same group.
Shosource has new ones for about $130.00

I looked at the BDA's at shosource, and the one that came out of my 93 SHO looks like the ones they show for years 90 to 92. Not sure which one to order. There is no part number on my old one. Do you think Ford used older part on newer model?

We have seen some mix and match crossover in 92-93 from Ford, so if you match the picture to the BDA on SHOsource.com that will be best. If you are not sure, you can always email us a picture of your blend door at [email protected] and we will compare to what we have.

This is the BDA that came out of my 93 SHO. Is this a 90 to 92 Blend Door Actuator or a 93 to 95 Blend Door Actuator ? Thanks

That is strange to see as late as 93, but that sure does look like a spitting image of the 90-92 BDA you can buy here.
