I just did this on mine... the hardest part is feeding the end thru the quadrant. I remember someone suggesting to tie a strong cord to the end of the clutch cable and then feed the cord thru the quadrant, pulling the cable thru in the process. This did not work too well for me, but that may have been because I used baling wire :nut: So I did it the old fashioned way, fingers & pliers.
Start by propping up your clutch pedal, away from the floor, use a crescent wrench or similar. Disconnect the cable from the clutch lever on the transmission (use pliers). Pull the cable from under the dashboard as much as possible, it'll be very tight there and there's sharp edges, so be careful. I did it by moving the seat all the way back and moving the backrest back as well, then laid on my back under the dashboard with my feet up on the headrest :laugh_ti: Then pull the ****** out of the quadrant and move it out so it disengages. Pull old cable out from the engine compartment side. Feed new cable thru the firewall, until it's fully seated. Push ****** from engine compartment end in all the way so you get maximum length to the quadrant end. Then, get under the dashboard, route the cable into the groove on the quadrant (use long needle nose pliers or some such) and lock the ****** in the quadrant. I know this sounds easy, but trust me, this is the hardest part and you will feel your back and scratched fingers for days to come :cuss:
Then lock the ****** on the engine compartment side in the clutch lever (make sure you route the cable thru the plastic sleeve on the tranny).
This took me about 30 min, shouldn't take longer than 1 hr. You might need a beer afterwards, or some other back pain killer...
