I'd love to get a set of BMR adjustable rear control arms but I'm going to have to stick with the stock rear arms for a little while longer. I'd like to get some camber/toe adjustment bushing kits for those rear arms though so I can get a proper 4 wheel alignment after I install my new TPR bushings, front control arms, and tie rods. There seem to be several kits available and I would like to get the best one. Can anybody tell me which kit that would be? Here's what I know about so far:

  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Specialty Products Company 87300

I would recommend a used set of 4 adjustable GM arms for $100.00. Then add the SHOnut adapters kit for addtional $50.00 = $150.00

IMO a wise choice in spending your money. I'm currently upgrading my car to this system. (I got the arms off of two 2000 Grand Prix's)

A pair of the Moog kits would cost me $42 and I wouldn't feel too bad about throwing them away later when I can afford the nice BMR arms (or Todd's if TCE decides to have another group buy when I'm in the market). Even $150 for used arms + adapter kit would be too much right now. Plus it would be a lot harder for me to ditch them later hehe. I just want to be able to align the car in the rear for now.

Where did you find such a deal, and could you find any more used arms? I tried a couple salvage yard parts finders, but so far nothing and that was probably 6 months ago. shrug

They can't be that hard to find. I forget the model years but they came stock on the Pontiac GTPs (maybe the regular Gran Prix?) and I think the parts from Buick (Regal?)would likely fit also. There are many salvage bots online that could track these down and I assume you could easily find them in some larger local salvage yards that carry a large GM stock of cars.

Have a friend that buys cars from auction yards and purchases his repair parts from the bone yards in the area. He gave me a number of a yard that specailizes in GM cars. One phone call no problem. thumbup

The 2000'ish Grand Prix, Buick Regal and probably a model of Olds share the same platform so the chassis parts are interchangable.

I will check a few more salvage yards around the area, but if no luck in the future, I may be asking you for the number of the yard where you got your arms from!! thumb
