BBS style mesh wheels.

Was going to post in my old thread, but its been pruned already. Just posting this to inform anyone whos interested in running these style wheels without adapters. Anyway I've tracked down a classic BBS style mesh or "basket weave" style wheel that fits a SHO.
They're Lincoln Mark 8 Diamond Spoke wheels part #1698. Every source I can find says they'll fit. Heres a random overpriced google result.

How they look is yet to be seen, but I could see them working on a gen I at least.

hit up a junkyard. many many mark guys dump their snowflakes very cheap (read this as, i have talked to people willing to give them away because the mark guys don't want them.) you could probably get them from a JY for the price of scrap aluminium.



also, that wheel you have pictured is a mark 7 (seven) wheel.
which is the incorrect bolt pattern for a Taurus.
5x4.5 instead of 5x4.25

edit: i can get a picture of a gen 2 with snowflakes if you are interested.

I think Eggboy Racing had the Mark VIII wheels on their Gen 1 for a while.

Looks like they were running the snowflakes, not the diamond spokes. I haven't found any pictures of a MKVIII with the diamond spokes on them, so either these wheels sites have them in the wrong category, or they're after market wheels no ones bought yet.

or you misread something. your link clearly states they are for the 1990-1992 Lincoln Mark Series, which is a Mark VII, (the Mark VIII is 93-98,) and that the bolt circle is 4.5.


this is a Mark VII with the diamond spoke wheels. they came that way from the factory.
